We put 16 oz of heavy whipping cream in a 32 0z jar.
We added about a quarter teaspoon of salt.
We tightened up the lid and passed the jar around, shaking vigorously!
Everybody took turns!  :)
The entire process took about 30 minutes while we continued to pass the jar around and shake it!
It was neat to see and feel it changing states of matter in the jar; liquid to thick cream to separated butter and buttermilk.
And in the end we made delicious butter that we "feasted" on with bread for our own Thanksgiving Day Feast!
