About me

Welcome! My name is Kerri Underhill and I am thrilled to be a part of the Midway Elementary family as a first-year teacher. My journey to education has been an exciting and unique one. I grew up around High Rock Lake and graduated from Central Davidson High School a few decades ago.  I went on to earn my BA in HR and Business from High Point University.  After graduation, I joined the corporate world and ended my career as a Supply Chain Manager.  My passion for serving the community and children led me back to education.

I originally started as an elementary education major at HPU, and though my path took a few turns along the way, my love for teaching and for math has always been my driving force. I'm excited to share that enthusiasm with my students, and I look forward to making a positive impact on their learning experiences. Teaching is my true calling, and I am so proud to be part of this wonderful school. Let's make this year an incredible one together!
