My Teaching Journey...
I began teaching in High Point, NC at a public Montessori school, Triangle Lake Montessori Elementary School. While there, I educated students in Pre-K/Kindergarten, First Grade and First/Second Grade Combination classes. I transferred to Davidson County in 2010 to join the Midway family. I have had the amazing opportunity of teaching at Midway for the past 11 years.

Completed the School Administration Add-On Licensure Program through the Graduate School
May 2007 – Salem College, Winston Salem, NC
Obtained MAT (Masters of Arts in Teaching)
Obtained Reading Specialist K-12 Certification
July 2006 – North Carolina Center for Montessori Teacher Education, Apex, NC
Obtained AMS (American Montessori Society) Credential I Certification (6-9 year-old)
Completed an overview course of the Montessori curriculum for children 3-6 years old
Studied Montessori manipulatives for math, grammar, writing, history, zoology, botany, geography, and geology specifically for first, second and third grade students

Obtained Bachelor of Science
Major: Human Resource Management, Minor: Economics
