Grading Policies

How will my child be graded?

In 2nd grade, students do not receive grades using the 10 point scale that 3rd-5th grade uses. When students complete assignments or small assessments, they may receive:

• Formative feedback 
• A 1, 2, or 3 if it is something that will be saved for data towards their overall report card scores
  • Level 1 = < 60%
  • Level 2 = 60 - 79%
  • Level 3 = 80 - 100% 

The levels of scoring reflect a child's overall understanding towards the concept or amount of effort demonstrated with the assignment or assessment.
